... not that i've been really posting lately, but i'm taking a brief hiatus from my blog. i'm going through some things and i just can't handle blogging right now. i'll be around ... on facebook and msn ... but not posting in my blog. i hope to be back blogging in july ... maybe july 1st. i need some major detox. So let me on down
Cause time has made me strong
I'm starting to move on
I'm gonna say this now
Your chance has come and gone
And you know
It's just too little too late
A little too wrong
And I can't wait
Boy you know all the right things to say
You know it's just too little too late
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real, it doesn't matter anyway
You know it's just too little too late

okay, so i didn't expect this semester to be as reading-intensive as it is. but ... yeah. let's start with my Literature class to see how reading intensive it is ...
Literature. we are doing a novel study on "The English Patient" - that's one book we have to read for that class. Then we're doing movie appreciation or whatever ... so he gives us a list of movies that were made from books - and we have to choose two. We read the book then watch the movie ... and work in pairs. No big - I'm working with Erica. No complaints. But we want to do Les Liasons Dangereuses/Cruel Intensions and A Clockwork Orange. How many books is that now? three. plus two movies. then we have to do a non-fiction book. UGH. And for the last three (the NF and movie/book), we have to do essays and oral presentations. NOT impressed.
Sociology. Don't really like the prof too much - told me to shut up the first class. Wasn't impressed. We're doing 4 or 5 chapters from the same text from first semester - so one less text to buy. Besides, he posts skeleton notes and you could just read the text to fill in the blanks. So I'm not going to bother with going to THAT class.
Developmental Psych. This prof just totally rocks. So I'll be going to that class - and the text we bought - doing all of it. Eighteen chapters, I believe.
Issues in Health & Healing. It's an okay course - the prof rocks. One chick just drives me bat shit crazy. We have two texts, and I think we're going most of both of them. I haven't really looked at them yet - that's tomorrow after Psych.
Bio. So far, so good - we just started that online this week. Doing the whole text - again, 18 chapters.
Math. My plan to get this one done by the end of May is a no-go. I got to the Geometry booklet, and am totally lost - haven't done Geometry in AGES. Like I remember - and it's got me totally confused. So I have to go on a scavenger hunt for the VCR in our two storage lockers ... watch it, then hopefully get it.
... that's about it. I only got Psych tomorrow, but I'm scratching the Indigo Adults post. A lot of the stuff I found is by a fluff ball, so I've scratched that. I ordered two books from Chapters, and I tried to cancel my order BUT THEY WOULDN'T LET ME. what. the. hell? so whatever - i'll just return the books.
anyways. the religion vs spirituality post will be tomorrow.Labels: school, update

okay, so i was getting bored of the old layout. well, not really BORED ... just ... seemed a little too tiny for a layout. so i decided to put this one up.
i've been sick the past 24 hours, and i start classes tomorrow. so i will do a better post later on tomorrow. i want to post an entry on INDIGO ADULTS, one on RELIGION VS SPIRITUALITY ... and yeah. but i need to do some math work and try to feel better for class tomorrow.

okay, now that i've finally attempted to fix the foibles of this layout, i'm going to try to post entries again. let's see how long THIS will last before i lose it and have to do a totally new layout!
school.
i start classes on wednesday, although TECHNICALLY classes start tuesday. of course, i don't have ANY classes on tuesdays - so i don't go tuesday. after i go to my classes this week, i'll probably go and buy my books - probably friday after my last class, which ends at like 11am. whoop-dee-frickin-do. i hope hope HOPE i don't have to get the text for literature - i've heard that, depending on your prof, you might not need to get it. that'll save me like $100!
as for my classes, i'll repost now since i deleted previous entries ...
monday: issues in health & healing, 3pm to 4:30pm
tuesday: none.
wednesday: literature, 8am to 930am; developmental psychology, 930 am to 11 am; sociology 2, 1pm to 2:30pm
thursday: developmental psychology, 8am to 930am; sociology 2, 130 pm to 3pm
friday: issues in health & healing, 8am to 930am; literature 930am to 11am
... i had wanted to take the 2nd math course and biology second semester, but since they don't offer it during the day at the school, i had to take it through continuing education. i had a choice of either doing it via evening classes or online/distance learning. i chose the latter - of course, my mother though "UGH" ... but i'm stubborn and disciplined. well, IF THE DAMN CATS WOULDN'T LIE ON MY WORK WHEN I ATTEMPTED ANY!
anyways. aside from school, the weekend after the long weekend, steph and i have our reiki level 1 & 2 in guelph - CANNOT WAIT! i am totally psyched for it since it's part of what i want to do for the rest of my life. reiki, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and yoga therapy.

Sat Nam!
So you're here to read my posts, ehn? Alright, if you want entertainment - here you are! Then how do you see the posts?? Look at the 5 white squares up top - that's the navigation: about me,
entries, fanlistings & hatelistings, links, and layout info. and they're even in that order - why no labels? 'CAUSE THAT'S THE WY THE LAYOUT WAS MADE!
Slight warning - I do speak my mind and don't apologize for my thoughts, opinions, and beliefs. If you're offended by anything I say on my blog, go to another site - I don't want anyone emailing
me and complaining. We do have freedom of speech for a reason! I was taught something VERY valuable in one of my courses at Mohawk College:
Stop,
Think,
Analyze, then
Decide for yourself: S.T.A.D. ... and I ask you, the reader, to do that as well - you don't need to agree with what I have posted, I just ask you to think and respect.
Namaste.
